A friend of mine asked me to join her in the SFX X-Core Challenge I asked.. “what do I have to do?” I wasn’t prepared for what was to become a whole new way of life for me. I had been working out 3 to 4 days a week consistently for more than a year but I had seen little physical change. I thought I was working hard (hard for me) but I still felt the same. From day one of the Challenge, I knew this would be a true change in every aspect of my life... if this was going to work, I had to commit... I attended Boot Camp 4 days a week and added cardio workouts on the other days.
I’m not going to lie, it was tough. On day four, I left the gym after a very challenging boot camp sore, tired, starving and frustrated... But I stuck with it. Every day got easier. I started to look forward to creating new lunches and dinners. I gave up all alcohol and stopped using salt. I attended a class or a bootcamp every day. Most of all, I tried, I mean, I really tried. And it started to show... I couldn’t wait to come home, hand my folder to my husband with my current “stats” and say.. “Look at the changes...” Everything seemed to get better. I was sleeping better, my skin looked better, my clothes fit better, I had more energy, I felt strong... And every time I leave the gym I feel better than when I arrived. I consider that, my greatest success.
I am so grateful to the Julian, the staff and members of SFX. Thank you!
